Book this 8-day taste of our Dubai and Egypt vacation packages and enjoy a mixture of history and modernity. Combine the incredible architecture of modern Dubai, including the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Dubai Museum, and Dubai Creek, with a visit to the historic monuments of Cairo's long history, including the Pyramids, Coptic and Islamic Cairo, and the Egyptian Museum.
This Dubai and Cairo tour is designed to give travelers a striking contrast in one trip — futuristic skyscrapers and desert adventure on one side, thousands of years of pharaonic history on the other — with every detail arranged for you from arrival to departure.
On the first day of this Dubai and Egypt vacation package, you're met on arrival at Dubai International Airport and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay in Dubai.
After breakfast (pick-up 8:15 to 9:00 am), your personal guide takes you on a journey through Dubai's history, from wind-towered buildings and narrow lanes to the lively souks and a scenic ride on traditional water taxis, with plenty of open conversation about Emirati culture and local traditions. Return to the hotel for a free afternoon, then depart in the evening (pick-up 7:00 to 7:45 pm) for a two-hour Dubai Marina dinner cruise aboard a traditional dhow, taking in views of the Marina and Palm Jumeirah over a buffet dinner.
Highlights: Al Shindagha Museum, including the old houses of Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum and the Perfume House; a traditional Abra boat crossing of Dubai Creek; the Spice and Gold Souks; a photo stop at Jumeirah Mosque; and dinner aboard the Dhow cruise
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, with free time to explore the city before an afternoon pick-up between 2:30 and 3:00 pm for a thrilling drive across Dubai's golden desert dunes, stopping at the highest point for sweeping views and the chance to try sandboarding. Continue to a Bedouin campsite for traditional attire, refreshments, and a camel ride, before returning for a barbecue dinner under the stars, accompanied by a belly dance and Tanoura performance and the option to try shisha in a variety of flavors. Transfer back to your hotel in Dubai.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel with free time before your roughly four-hour flight to Cairo. On arrival, you're met and assisted by our representative and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay. An optional Sound and Light show at the Pyramids, or a Nile dinner cruise with belly dance and Tanoura show, is available this evening.
After a wholesome Egyptian breakfast, your personal guide takes you to the Giza Plateau to marvel at one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramids of Giza, walking the Plateau to see the iconic Sphinx and Valley Temple. Following lunch at an authentic Egyptian restaurant, continue to Sakkara to visit the Sakkara Complex and the Djoser Pyramid, the first pyramid ever built. Overnight in Cairo.
After breakfast, the first stop is the Grand Egyptian Museum, located about 2 kilometers from the Giza pyramid complex. The GEM Complex is currently offering limited access to test site readiness ahead of its official opening, with admission covering the Main Galleries, Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, commercial area, and exterior gardens. After lunch at an authentic Egyptian restaurant, continue to the Egyptian Museum in the heart of Downtown Cairo, overlooking Tahrir Square, to admire its remarkable collection of ancient artifacts and treasures before returning to your hotel.
After breakfast, choose between a free day in Cairo or an optional tour to Alexandria, Egypt's second capital. Visit the Qaitbay Citadel, built in the 15th century on the site of Alexandria's ancient lighthouse, then continue to the acclaimed Alexandria Library and the rock-cut Catacombs. Return to your hotel in Cairo.
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight home, bringing this 8-day Dubai and Cairo tour to a close.
