The journey begins in Amman, where you'll visit the mosaic map of Madaba, the biblical site of Mount Nebo, and the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea, before continuing to the highlight of the Jordan leg: Petra, the legendary rose-red city carved directly into the cliffs. Your tour manager greets you at Amman International Airport and arranges a private transfer to your hotel, where you'll check in and receive details about the days ahead. Overnight in Amman, with a welcome drink to start your trip.
After breakfast, drive to Madaba to see its famous 4th-century mosaic map inside St. George's Church, then continue to Mount Nebo, believed to be the site where Moses first saw the Promised Land. From there, head to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, for leisure time and the chance to float in its mineral-rich waters. Overnight in Amman.
Drive roughly 2.5 hours to Petra, the legendary rose-red city first established by the Nabataean Arabs around the 6th century B.C. Walk through the narrow canyon known as the Siq to reach the iconic Treasury, then continue along the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. Drive back to Amman for the night.
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Alia International Airport for your flight to Cairo, where you'll be met, assisted, and transferred to your hotel for the evening.
Meet your personal guide for a visit to the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, along with the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. After lunch at an authentic Egyptian restaurant, continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum, located near the pyramid complex, before returning to your hotel.
After breakfast, visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, home to the royal mummies and a broad collection tracing Egypt's history. Continue to Old Cairo to explore some of the country's oldest churches, then after lunch visit the Salah El-Din Citadel, home to the grand Mohammed Ali Mosque and panoramic views over the city.
Enjoy a free day at your own pace, or join an optional tour to Alexandria to visit the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient lighthouse, along with the modern Alexandria Library and the rock-cut Catacombs. Return to your hotel in Cairo in the evening.
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight home, bringing your Cairo and Petra tour to a close.
